THE CLARK

The Clark is primary care medical practice with big ambition - to redefine the entire patient experience and offer an unrivalled level of care.

Amid fierce market competition and a shift from volume- to value-based care, the owners of The Clark recognised that design could help them stand out from the pack. They tasked ROLD with delivering an end-to-end unique healthcare design experience which would attract and retain both patients and staff.

ROLD recognised that what customers are ultimately want when they visit a medical facility is to feel cared for.

We delivered a innovative healthcare experience that makes patients feel cared for every step of the journey, from a website that offers same day appointments and easy online booking to a patient waiting area which feels like a private members health club (with walls of French-styled windows that let in natural light, air purifying fig plants and an open bar stocked with infused waters and teas rich in antioxidants) and soothing exam rooms, with back-lighting and beautifully designed ceilings.

All of this was delivered on budget, with Swedish Covenant CEO Anthony Guaccio saying the clinic didn't cost any more to create than a conventional healthcenter would have. There are also plans for the uniquely designed waiting area to be used for baby showers and other events when the clinic is closed, unlocking other revenue streams.
